Welcome to the Kendallvue Watch DOGS!

About the Watch DOGS Program

The Dads of Great Students WATCH D.O.G.S. program is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations in the country. WATCH D.O.G.S. is a family and community engagement educational initiative designed and developed by educators, experts and parent volunteers over more than two decades.
Our programs for Elementary and Secondary School campuses help provide positive male role models for the students, demonstrating by their presence that education is important. Meanwhile, we provide extra sets of eyes and ears to enhance school security, reduce bullying, and provide a greater sense of campus safety allowing students and teachers to focus on learning and instruction.

3 Types of Shifts to fit your busy schedule!

Full Day (Greatest Impact)

WatchDOGS are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer for at least one day each year at an official WATCH D.O.G.S. ® school. During the day, WatchDOGS may read and work on flash cards with students, play at recess, eat lunch with students, watch the school entrances and hallways, assist with traffic flow and any other assigned activities where they actively engage with not only their own students, but other students as well. Many school principals have reported that the mere presence of a WatchDOG dramatically reduces reports of bullying. On the day of their participation, WatchDOGS are given a brief review of their involvement and they wear an official WATCH D.O.G.S. ® t-shirt with a disposable ‘Dog Tag’ identifying them as WatchDOGS.

1/2 Day AKA “Lunch DOGS” (Give an afternoon)

Want to come in in the middle of the day and eat lunch with a bunch of great kids! We want your help to engage and participate with our kids during their breaks in the school day. Come eat lunch, play on the playground, or shoot some hoops. We want your help at lunch time to connect and have fun… This shift is from 10:30 to 1:30 during the lunch time.

AM/PM Crossing Guard (Only have a little time, then help a little…)

These are 30 min shifts at the beginning and end of the school day. Have a little extra time at the beginning or end of your day and want to make a difference, we want your help!
